My name is Shane. In 2019, I was injured on a construction site in New York. What followed was two years of fighting insurance adjusters, confusing paperwork, denied claims, and a system that felt designed to wear me down. I eventually got a fair settlement — but only after I learned everything I wish someone had told me on day one.
That’s why I built Workers Comp Wiki. Every page on this site is written the way I wish someone had explained it to me: plain English, real numbers, real case examples, and honest answers about the gap between what the law says and what actually happens.
